DAC55 High temperature die steel

The DAC55 is an improvement on the DAC (SKD61). It retains the advantages of DAC and has better heat resistance. It is suitable for large, high-strength die casting moulds. DAC55 is a high-strength, high-toughness 5Cr mould steel, which is improved on the basis of DAC steel. Compared with DAC, DAC55 not only retains the advantages of DAC, but also has better heat crack resistance. This steel has excellent hardening properties and can be used at hardnesses up to 50~53 HRC.DAC55 steel has good toughness, ductility and crack resistance. Chromium is added to improve the fatigue resistance and toughness of the mould. Suitable for large, complex, precision die-casting moulds, high-performance die-casting moulds, extrusion moulds, etc., which require long life. Standard heat treatment: quenching 1010-1030°C, tempering 550-640°C. Hardness 45-53°C.
