Bicomponent fibres are made by blending and spinning two or more different polymers under certain conditions, and they have various properties, such as softness, good elasticity, anti-wrinkle, anti-static, wear-resistant and so on. According to the different types and proportions of polymers, bi-component fibres are classified as follows: 1. PE/PP two-component fibre: made of polyethylene and polypropylene two polymers mixed, suitable for the production of textiles, nonwovens and so on. 2. PET/PBT two-component fibre: made of polyester and polybutylene terephthalate two polymers mixed, with good oxidation resistance and durability, suitable for the production of fabrics, carpets and so on. 3. PP/PET two-component fibre: blended from two polymers of polypropylene and polyester, with high strength, tensile strength and heat resistance, suitable for making textiles and so on.
